So April is almost over and there's a couple surprises in who has risen to the top so far. Colorado has the best winning percentage in the league at .696%. I know they have a good team but I can't say I would have predicted they'd be leading all of baseball. Usually you just have to be above .500 to contend in either west division.
Then two are tied at second place with .667% which are Philly & Cleveland. Cleveland? Seriously? Cleveland has been a joke for as far back as I can remember. Can these guys seriously being contenders in August or September? Only time will tell I guess.
On the flip side did anyone expect the Twins & Red Sox to be sub-500? Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that the Red Sox are losing, but I kinda think in the back of my head maybe they just didn't try in the first week of the season so it would be a good "worst to first" story at the end of the year. One of those "triumph over adversity" bs puff pieces for the world series.
